Biography

Matt Nicholas was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Peter Hines and Regina Spears. He was always interested and surrounded by the theater and acting. He grew up doing many plays around the country. He grew up entertaining many people in his community and neighborhood with his personality and charisma.

Matt lived in Paducah, Kentucky most of his life with his mother while traveling back and forth to see his father, who lived in Chicago, IL. While visiting his father he started doing small theater projects at first. He impressed several theater production companies and directors in Chicago and New York City who immediately cast him in several of their plays and theater productions. Many of the plays Matt was in toured cities such as New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Miami, Atlanta, and New Orleans to name a few. He has shed his thespian image and gracefully transitioned into TV and film work.

In June of 2011, after he graduated high school, Matt moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his dreams full-time. He immediately booked a recurring role in the web-series “Unconventionally Awesome”, guest starring on several TV shows, as well as a series regular role in a new pilot being submitted to major networks.
